The Tata Sedan Concept will share its underpinnings with the Tata 45X premium hatchback and will be based on the AMP (Advanced Modular Platform) architecture, also known as Alpha-ARC. The all-new mid-size sedan from Tata Motors will feature the ‘IMPACT Design 2.0’ philosophy, which was previewed with the unveiling of Tata H5X and Tata 45X concepts at the Auto Expo 2018. Tata Motors has not revealed the launch details of the car, however, we can expect the new sedan to be launched in India by end of 2019.

The teaser images and design silhouette reveals the car will feature a long hood and a coupe-like sloping roofline. Similar to the Tata 45X concept, we can expect the new mid-size sedan to get sharp design lines and sporty exteriors. The concept is likely to feature the signature humanity line grille that connects the front LED headlamps; the signature tri-arrow LED daytime running lights on the front bumper, and LED tail lamps.

While engine details are not revealed yet, our sources claim that the car will feature the same petrol and diesel engines that also power the Tata Nexon. That said, the 1.2-litre petrol unit is expected to make a maximum power of 90 BHP along with a peak torque of 150 Nm. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre oil burner is likely to produce 90 BHP of maximum power while developing a peak torque of 200 Nm. Transmission duties will be shouldered by a 6-speed manual transmission, while Tata Motors is also speculated to offer an all-new 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as an option.
